This event was held on Saturday 3rd of April. For those who don’t know, this meant moving between a number of hosts for each course of our supper.
The event was an outstanding success and there was even attended by collegues from Sucé. The event raised an astounding £250, all of which will go towards funding the activities during the Twinning Visit at the end of October.
Many thanks to all those, who acted as hosts.
We now have our own website Cricklade Twinning Website. This will keep you informed of upcoming events and also provides links to other Websites of interest. We are putting together a gallery of past events, so if you have any memorable photos of past events can we have them to put up on the website.
A reminder that our French friends will be visiting us on the weekend of 29th October 2004. Preparations are already in hand. Please put the date in your diary.
The Autumn Barbeque will be held this year on Saturday 21st August and will be hosted by John Petrie.
The next event will on Saturday 26th June. This will be a Boules competition, which was a great success last year. The event forms part of the Cricklade Festival. The event will be held at the White Lion again this year, but the format is slightly changed. You are invited to forms teams of three (although if you show up on the day we will fit you into a team). We are also holding two practice sessions on the two previous Thursday evenings, if you feel the need or just want to socialise.
The entry fee on the Saturday is £1 per person. Food and drink will be available from the White Lion.
To help us keep track of numbers, please return the form below.
Sounds dangerous, but actually is a lot of fun – we will be holding this event on the 24th of September.
We are hoping to make this a big fund raising event, so please encourage your friends to come along. We will provide food. More details nearer the time.
Easter saw the first house exchange between Sucé and Cricklade Twinning members. It all worked extremely well and both families were lucky to have good weather. Although only for a week, everyone enjoyed their visits. Of course the visits were offset by a bit, so we could get some socialising in.
