Summer Picnic - Saturday 31 July 2021

>This year, instead of the usual BBQ at the end of July, we will be hosting a Summer Picnic at the Leisure Centre. This will be an opportunity to finally get together safely whilst accommodating social distancing and other COVID measures.

We will have access to the Leisure Centre bar and to its newly refurbished facilities.

It will be a ‘bring your own food and drink’ picnic starting at 4pm.

It would be useful if you let us know that you plan to attend, but as this is an outside event, please just show up.

Des Moore

It is with sadness that we report the death of Des Moore.

Our longer-term members will remember Des, who was the partner of Jay Flew. Jay was Chair of our association at the end of the 1990s.

Des was an ex RAF flight engineer and a strong supporter of The Twinning Association. In 1999, Des and Jay left Cricklade to set up and run a camping site in France.

Des died in a care home in France, he was 85 and had been ill for some time.

Barn Dance - November

We are still planning a Barn Dance with Lamb Roast for November. Of course we may be frustrated by Covid, but we are being positive.

Quiz Night

We may run a quiz night in September or October

2021 AGM

We live in extraordinary times, so this year we have decided to skip the AGM. So the next AGM will be in January 2022. We will announce the exact date, once we have booked the venue. In line with our constitution, we will give four weeks’ notice of any meeting.
In the meantime, members are invited to raise any issues with the chair (Chris Faulkner at or the rest of the committee. We would also like to remind  members that if you wish to join the committee, you would be most welcome to join.
