Cricklade Twinning May 2018 Newsletter
Call My Bluff Wine Tasting - 9th June – Jenner Hall
Our next event is the wine tasting. Appellation Nation of Cirencester and Cheltenham will be providing the wine and expertise.
As in previous years we will do this in the form of Call My Bluff, We have our own Quiz Gurus, panellists and compere, who will tease you with the description of various wines and all you have to do is pick the correct description.
This is a team game, so you can form your own team or simply join a table on the night.
Of course to achieve this you also need to taste the wines and to help you clear your palette, if not your head, we are offering a complementary glass of wine at the beginning of the evening.
The evening starts at 7.30pm in the Jenner Hall. To enable you to focus on the wine tasting, we are asking that you eat beforehand, but we will provide cheese and biscuits at half time.
Tickets are £12.50 – please try to let Chris Faulkner) know if you are attending beforehand, so that we can sort out the numbers and the quantity of wine/cheese/biscuits or phone Jane Whinfrey on 750048.
Bottle Tombola at Cricklade Festival – Sunday 17th June
We will need lots of bottles to run our bottle stall successfully, we need a few good bottles, but other bottles also make for a good stall. Your generosity will be appreciated
To donate a bottle(s), deliver them to 7 Home Ground or if nobody is home drop them to No 6 (next door). Alternatively, phone Jane Whinfrey on 750048 and we will collect.
The stall will be outside 45 High Street (next door to C&R Grocers).
We also need volunteers to look after the stall. We appreciate that our members are often involved in several stalls, but the odd hour does allow the stalwarts to take a break. So, if you could email me (chair@ crickladetwinning.org.uk) and let me know what period you can be on the stall, that would be wonderful.
We will be setting up the stall from 9am.

Murder Mystery Evening – 7.30pm Saturday 24th March – Town Hall
Once again this was a big hit. Thanks to Cathy and Jane for the wonderful food and to PADS for providing the mystery. Most people identified the murderer but it was the quality of the detective work that counted in the end.
